Creature Contest

Creature sheet for a contest here on the DA for ;D

I have never done this before; so it was fun

This is a Rumalae, a warm-blooded rodent that lives in the most barren of deserts. When on four legs, it slinks across the sand like a weasel. When on two legs, where it is most comfortable, it skates across the sand with its fan-like feet, which resemble a lizard's. It also runs like those lizards that run across water.

It uses its large lower tooth and horn to get through the sand and extract small rodents and lizards, which are it primary foods. When these are scarce, Rumalae turns to roots of various plant found in the desert.

Its stomach scales are helpful with keeping the rumalae from burning its belly on the hot sand. They are also used as a defense mechanism. The rumalae will twist its body around to expose its incredibly tough underbelly, which is also scolding hot, deterring most predators. The rumalae doesnt have many predators out in the desert that are as large as it, only birds of prey are its real enemies. Its large ears not only help to listen for the birds, but also to help release heat.
